Awards
PIA's Annual Industry Awards are presented annually at our Convention. We present four awards to both outstanding agents and company representatives.
Ralph Cleveland Professional Agent of the Year:
This award honors a PIA Member agent who has excelled as an insurance professional and has demonstrated the highest ethical and service standards. They should demonstrate his/her dedication to the American Agency System, support the industry through involvement with PIA, actively support the community in which they live, and be dedicated to their profession by seeking life-long development opportunities. This award recipient competes with his/her counterparts from other state associations for the Professional Agent of the Year award at PIA National's annual convention held in the fall.
Young Insurance Professional of the Year:
This award recognizes outstanding achievement by an employee, owner, or principal of a Member agency who is under the age of 40. The award recipient is honored for their activities in support of YPIA and their efforts to attract more young people into the industry. The recipient then competes with other state association winners for the Young Insurance Professional of the Year award at PIA National's Federal Summit held in the spring.
Company Award of Excellence:
This award honors a PIA company, MGA, or broker Member for their dedicated support of PIA and the American Independent Agency System over the last twelve month.
Company Person of the Year:
This award honors a company person who has excelled as an insurance professional and has demonstrated the highest ethical and service standards. This individual should demonstrate his/her dedication to the American Agency System, support the industry through their involvement with PIA, be dedicated to their profession by seeking professional growth opportunities, and be actively involved in their community. This award recipient then competes with other state winners for the Company Representative of the Year award at PIA National's Federal Summit held in the spring.
In conjunction with the National Alliance, PIA presents the Outstanding CSR of the Year Award to a deserving Customer Service Representative each summer. The Outstanding CSR of the Year Award is one of the greatest professional honors a customer service representative can receive. It confers recognition of the highest order - an acknowledgement of the recipient's dedication, ability, commitment, and outstanding achievement.
